kOREAN TREASURES COME TO OXFORD
Prof Jang Moo Lee, President of Seoul National University visits the
University of Oxford on the 17th March 2009 to donate 400 books from the
Kyujanggak Archive. This donation was organised by Prof Hi Won Yoon, Vice
President of Seoul National University. These include old maps of Korea and
Choson Dynasty government records. Dr Sarah Thomas, Head of the Bodleian
Library receives the books on behalf of the University of Oxford.
Prof Lee and his colleagues also meet with Dr John Hood, Vice Chancellor of
the University of Oxford, and Prof William Dutton and Prof Denis Noble at
the Oxford Internet Institute.
