What is Voices from Oxford?
Voices from Oxford is a new webcast program, broadcast from University of Oxford to the four corners of the World.
We will bring to you the ideas and activities of the people of Oxford and its famous University.
The broadcasts are in the form of lively documentaries. Rather like a news channel, the topics will range across a wide range of issues. We will be talking to famous professors, alumni, students and others.
The inspiration for Voices from Oxford came from Alastair Cooke's famous 'Letter from America', broadcast for many years by the BBC. Like that programme, we will take an event, a story, a person in the news and build a broadcast around that. But, since we are in the 21st century, Voices from Oxford will be in video form, not just audio.
If you want to find out what famous Oxford people think about the world economic crisis, about cutting-edge science, music, architecture, philosophy, literature ... just click on the website and see what is new or revisit a favourite broadcast.
If you are a student thinking of trying to come to Oxford, this is where you can watch interviews of students already here, what they think and feel about the University or their College or Department. Discover more about the Tutorial system or what makes Oxford life exciting.
