SIr Drummond Bone, himself a Snell Exhibitioner, delivers a speech at the 2012 Snell Dinner held at Balliol College, University of Oxford. The Snell Scholarships were founded by John Snell, who in the 17th Century left a bequest to fund students from Glasgow University to attend Balliol College. Perhaps the most famous recipient was Adam Smith in the 18th Century.
